How to Choose a Hydraulic Diagnostic Kit

Match the kit to the circuit you are troubleshooting, not the other way around. Confirm these specs before you buy:

Gauge pressure range: pick gauges that cover your system’s working pressure with headroom — commonly up to 5,000 PSI for mobile and light industrial work, up to 10,000 PSI for high-pressure circuits. A gauge should read in the middle two-thirds of its dial for accuracy.
Test-point fitting standard: the quick-check coupling on the kit hose must match the test points on your manifold (thread and seal type vary by manufacturer). Confirm the standard before ordering.
