How to Choose a WTE-Series Extended Reaction Arm

Match the arm to your wrench first, then confirm it reaches the surface you intend to react against. Check these points before ordering:

• Wrench series and drive size: An extended reaction arm is built for a specific square-drive wrench family. Confirm it is rated for the WTE-Series and the drive size on your tool.
• Reach / extended length: Measure from the wrench centerline to the fixed point you plan to react against. The arm must be long enough to clear flanges, fittings, or adjacent nuts.
• Material and finish: Reaction arms are typically heat-treated alloy steel; verify the material can handle the torque transmitted at the contact foot.
• Rating / capacity: The arm should carry the full torque output of the wrench it serves. Hedge against undersizing — confirm the rated capacity with us if it is not stamped on the part.
• Application and reaction surface: Note whether you are reacting against an adjacent nut, a stud, or a structural member, since that affects foot shape and contact angle.

Which Reaction Arm Is Right for the Job?

An extended arm is the right call when a standard arm cannot reach a usable reaction point. If your wrench can react closer to the joint, a standard reaction arm for PTW and ETW-Series may be the simpler fit.
