Put this through some serious work on a mining equipment repair — stacked loads, held steady, retracted clean. Enerpac just makes good stuff, not much more to say.
Does what it's supposed to do and the hollow center was the right call for our bolt tensioning work. Only thing I'd say is the tolerances on the through-hole were tighter than I expected, had to ream our setup slightly. Not a deal breaker.
Machining on this unit is noticeably better than some of the off-brand hollow plunger cylinders I've dealt with in the past. Seals seated right, pressure held steady from the first cycle. Definitly buying from Northern again.
We've thrown some heavy work at this cylinder and it hasn't flinched. The through-hole design opens up alot of rigging options that a standard plunger just won't give you.
Been using Enerpac gear for years and this thing did not disappoint. Pulled a press fit shaft that had been stuck for probably a decade, no drama, just pushed right through. Build quality is exactly what you expect from the brand.
