Product Selection Guide

These FluiDyne V20 Series single stage vane pumps are all direct Vickers replacements, featuring identical SAE ‘A’ 2-bolt mounting and similar port sizes, but differ in flow rate, displacement, rotation direction, shaft configuration, and port orientation. Selecting the right model depends on your required flow, system rotation, piping layout, and shaft compatibility. For a broader view, see our full range of hydraulic pumps to compare available technologies.

?? Important: The specifications shown are for reference and comparison purposes. Always verify specifications with the official manufacturer documentation or contact our technical team at (800) 823-4937 before ordering to ensure compatibility with your application. We cannot accept returns due to specification mismatches.

Key Differences

Flow Rate & Displacement

Difference: WF8201739 and WF8201742 provide 13.5 GPM (2.60 in³/rev), while WF8201780, WF8201762, and WF8201750 offer 6.2 GPM (1.19 in³/rev). See other vane pumps for additional displacement and flow rate options.

Selection Guide: Choose WF8201739 or WF8201742 for medium flow applications, and WF8201780, WF8201762, or WF8201750 where lower flow is sufficient or more precise control is needed.

Rotation Direction

Difference: WF8201739, WF8201780, and WF8201750 are right-hand (clockwise); WF8201742 and WF8201762 are left-hand (counter-clockwise).

Selection Guide: Match the pump rotation to your hydraulic motor or drive configuration to ensure proper system function.

Port Orientation

Difference: WF8201739 has ports at 90° clockwise from inlet; others have ports inline (0°) with inlet.

Selection Guide: Select 90° port orientation for space-restricted or angled piping layouts; use inline ports for straight-through hose and tube connections.

Shaft Configuration

Difference: WF8201739 and WF8201742 use standard 3/4″ straight keyed shafts (1.75″–2.66″ extension). WF8201762 (Code 15) and WF8201750 (Code 70) feature special shaft codes for unique coupling needs.

Selection Guide: Use standard shaft for most direct replacements; select special codes when a unique coupling or mounting interface is required.

Maximum Speed

Difference: WF8201780 has the highest max speed (3400 RPM); WF8201739 and WF8201742 up to 2400 RPM; WF8201762 and WF8201750 up to 3000 RPM.

Selection Guide: Choose WF8201780 if your application requires high RPM operation.

Quick Selection Guide

If you need: Medium flow (13.5 GPM), right-hand rotation, 90° port orientation

Choose: WF8201739

Because: Best for systems requiring Vickers V20 performance with a 90° port for angled installations.

If you need: Medium flow (13.5 GPM), left-hand rotation, inline ports

Choose: WF8201742

Because: Ideal for counter-clockwise drive shafts and straight-through plumbing.

If you need: Low flow (6.2 GPM), high speed (up to 3400 RPM), right-hand rotation

Choose: WF8201780

Because: Suited for high-speed, lower flow circuits such as compact hydraulic units.

If you need: Low flow (6.2 GPM), left-hand rotation, special shaft requirement

Choose: WF8201762

Because: For unique drive or coupling requirements with counter-clockwise rotation.

If you need: Low flow (6.2 GPM), right-hand rotation, special shaft requirement

Choose: WF8201750

Because: For systems needing a unique shaft configuration with clockwise drive.

Compatibility: All models are direct Vickers replacements with 100% interchangeability, SAE J744 ‘A’ 2-bolt mounting, and compatible G1″/G1/2″ BSPP ports. Same-day shipping available on in-stock units. Volume pricing applies for orders of 4 or more. Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty.
