Product Selection Guide

These FluiDyne V20 Series hydraulic vane pumps are all direct Vickers replacements with SAE ‘A’ 2-bolt mounting, but differ in flow rate, displacement, maximum pressure, port orientation, shaft type, and rotation. Selecting the right model depends on your required flow, system pressure, port layout, and drive configuration. For broader hydraulic system solutions, see our hydraulic pumps selection.

?? Important: The specifications shown are for reference and comparison purposes. Always verify specifications with the official manufacturer documentation or contact our technical team at (800) 823-4937 before ordering to ensure compatibility with your application. We cannot accept returns due to specification mismatches.

Model Number Flow Rate Max Pressure Displacement Mounting
WF820720 (Current) 13.5 GPM 2500 PSI 42.6 cm³/r (2.60 in³/r) 2-Bolt Flange (SAE “A” size)
WF820724 6.2 GPM 2500 PSI 19.5 cm³/r (1.19 in³/r) 2-Bolt Flange (SAE “A” size)
WF820726 6.2 GPM 2500 PSI 19.5 cm³/r (1.19 in³/r) 2-Bolt Flange (SAE “A” size)
WF820725 6.2 GPM 2500 PSI 19.5 cm³/r (1.19 in³/r) 2-Bolt Flange (SAE “A” size)
WF8201811 13.5 GPM 2500 PSI 42.6 cm³/r (2.60 in³/r) 2-Bolt Flange (SAE “A” size)

Key Differences

Flow Rate & Displacement

Difference: WF820724 and WF820726 provide 6.2 GPM (1.19 in³/rev); WF820720 and WF8201811 deliver 13.5 GPM (2.60 in³/rev); WF820725 offers 11 GPM (2.22 in³/rev).

Selection Guide: Choose a higher GPM and displacement for larger cylinders or higher speed hydraulic circuits; select lower GPM for smaller actuators or precise control.

Maximum Pressure

Difference: WF820724, WF820726, and WF820725 support up to 2500 PSI; WF820720 and WF8201811 are rated 2200 PSI in the description (but show 2500 PSI in specs).

Selection Guide: For applications operating at or near 2500 PSI, prioritize models explicitly rated for this pressure.

Port Position

Difference: WF820724 and WF8201811 have inline ports (0°); WF820720 and WF820726 have 90° ports (counter-clockwise and clockwise, respectively); WF820725 is also inline.

Selection Guide: Inline ports simplify straight plumbing runs; 90° ports are preferable for installations with space constraints or specific routing needs.

Shaft Configuration

Difference: WF820724 and WF8201811 have special shaft codes; WF820720 and WF820726 use a 3/4″ straight shaft with key (2.66″ extension); WF820725 features an 11-tooth splined shaft.

Selection Guide: Use splined shafts for higher-torque drive systems; keyed shafts are standard and fit most couplings.

Rotation Direction

Difference: WF820725 is left-hand (counter-clockwise); all other models are right-hand (clockwise).

Selection Guide: Match shaft rotation to your prime mover—left-hand for reverse drives, right-hand for standard engine/motor rotation.

Cover Type and Additional Features

Difference: WF820725 includes a flow control cover with a 6 GPM controlled flow and built-in 1750 PSI relief; others are standard covers.

Selection Guide: Choose WF820725 if you need built-in flow control and relief valve protection in your hydraulic circuit. For more options, explore our pumps with integral valves.

Quick Selection Guide

If you need: High flow for large actuators or rapid cycling

Choose: WF820720 or WF8201811

Because: Both deliver 13.5 GPM at 2.60 in³/rev, suitable for demanding applications.

If you need: Compact flow with standard right-hand rotation

Choose: WF820724 or WF820726

Because: Both provide 6.2 GPM at 1.19 in³/rev and fit most standard systems.

If you need: Built-in flow control and relief valve with left-hand rotation

Choose: WF820725

Because: This model offers flow regulation and overpressure protection, ideal for circuits needing precise control and safety.

If you need: Specific port orientation or shaft extension

Choose: WF820726 for 90° (clockwise) ports and longer shaft; WF820724 for inline ports and shorter shaft

Because: This allows adaptation to your system’s plumbing and drive layout.

Compatibility: All models are 100% interchangeable with Vickers V20 Series pumps, share SAE J744 ‘A’ 2-bolt flange mounting, and use G1″/G1/2″ BSPP ports for straightforward replacement.
