Dropped this onto a log splitter build and it's been running strong for a couple months now. Fit the SAE A flange without any fuss, splined shaft lined up first try. Only reason I'm not giving it top marks is shipping took about a week longer than I expected, but the motor itself has zero complaints from me.
Quality feels legit — shaft and flange tolerances were right where they needed to be and install was straightforward. Took a small ding off because the documentation that came with it was pretty bare bones, had to dig around online for a couple specs. Performance wise though no complaints, thing's been solid on the application I built it for.
Replaced a worn out unit on our firewood processor and this thing hasn't skipped a beat. Made in the USA too which matters to us.
put it on a sweeper attachment, runs smooth under load and hasn't given us any trouble. definitly buying from Northern again
