We've run this pump hard on a log splitter conversion and it hasn't missed a beat. Pressure stays steady, no leaks, no noise — honestly couldn't ask for more out of a replacement unit. Northern had it on the truck the same day I ordered, that alone is worth alot.
It runs and the flow seems about right but I noticed it's a little noisier than the pump it replaced, kind of a faint whine at higher RPM. Could be an install thing on my end, not sure. Does the job for now.
Recieved a pump that did not match what was listed — thread port size was different from what the product page clearly states. Had to scramble to find an adapter to even get it running, lost almost a full day on a job because of it. Pretty frustrating when you're relying on next-day delivery to keep a machine running.
Dropped right in place of the old Vickers with no modifications needed, which I honestly didn't expect at that price point. Only reason I'm not giving it top marks is I've only had it running a few weeks — want to see how it holds up under daily use before I fully commit. So far so good though.
Came in quicker than expected and bolted up clean. Minor caveat is the shaft felt just slightly looser in the coupling than our original but it's running fine and not leaking so I'll take it.
