Sun Hydraulics is a leading designer and manufacturer of high performance screw-in hydraulic cartridge valves and manifolds which control force, speed and motion as integral components in fluid power systems. Products are available in up to 5 sizes (capacities), are capable of handling flows up to 400 gallons per minute, and operate at pressures up to 5,000 pounds per square inch.

Product Differentiation

Sun Hydraulics' screw-in hydraulic cartridge valves feature a unique, two piece, floating construction. This design allows working parts in the cartridge to freely move in relation to the fixed position of the cartridge in its cavity, thus producing a high level of performance and a high degree of reliability. Sun Hydraulics manufactures one of the most comprehensive ranges of standard screw-in hydraulic cartridge valves and manifolds in the world, and also develops and manufactures custom manifolds.

Sun Hydraulics sells its products globally, primarily through independent stocking distributors. The Company's marketing objective is to expand its position as a leading designer and manufacturer of screw-in hydraulic cartridge valves and manifolds by:

Manufacturing

Sun Hydraulics is a process intensive manufacturing company that extensively employs computer numerically controlled (CNC) machinery and robotics. Automation is utilized throughout manufacturing areas to ensure consistent product replication and to promote manufacturing efficiencies and workplace safety. Where commercial machinery is not available for specific manufacturing or assembly operations, Sun Hydraulics often designs and builds its own machinery to perform these tasks. The Company has the ability to manufacture all components of its products with the exception of raw materials, springs and seals.
