Seized flange nuts on an old press that had been rusting since probably the 80s. Didn't even break a sweat — popped them one after another. The 103-ton capacity is no joke and the whole kit feels like it was built to last a long time. Definitly keeping this one on the shelf.
Recieved it quicker than expected and it fit the application perfectly. Cracked three large hex nuts on a worn-out mill base in about 20 minutes. Good tool.
It does what it says, splits the nut. Had some trouble getting the chisel seated right on one of the larger hex sizes, took a few attempts to get the angle dialed in. Once it was set it cracked fine. Maybe I was doing something wrong but the instructions could be clearer. Not a bad tool, just not as plug-and-play as I expected for the price.
Had a couple seized nuts on an old bridge crane that nothing was touching — impact, heat, the works. Pulled out the Enerpac set and it split both clean without damaging the bolt threads. The air pump is a nice bonus, keeps your hands free. Worth every penny for a shop that deals with heavy industrial stuff regularly.
