does the job
Needed something that would hold a suspended load without any drift and this does exactly that — worm gear locks up solid when power's off. Install was straightforward and it's been running without a hiccup ever since. Good product at a fair price.
Been running this on our shop hoist for a few months now and it handles the load without breaking a sweat. Only reason I'm not giving full marks is the wiring diagram in the box was a little hard to read — had to squint a bit. Once we got it wired up though, thing's a tank.

Really good winch overall and the build quality is definitly better than some other units I've used. Only thing I'd mention is it's on the heavier side to mount solo, so plan on having a second set of hands. That's a minor thing though, works great once it's up.
